This event marks a new chapter for Liuzhou as it embarks on a journey toward the deep integration of industry and education in the field of low-altitude economy.
Attendees at the event included Gao Jianmin, Member of the Leading Party Members Group and Deputy Director the Liuzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission; Wen Jian, Deputy Director and Member of the Leading Party Members Group of the Liuzhou Municipal Education Bureau and Member of the Education Working Committee of the CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee; Chen Fei, Chairman of Shenzhen Pengxiang Yunfei Intelligent Aviation Technology Co., Ltd.; Chen Yonglin, President of Shenzhen Pengxiang Yunfei Intelligent Aviation Technology Co., Ltd.; Cheng Yanyuan, Deputy General Manager of Liuzhou Bureau of CSG EHV Power Transmission Company; Zhu Jiwei, Deputy Director of the Planning and Operation Department of Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd.; Wei Yizhan, Technical Director of Phoenix Wings (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.; as well as representatives from various other organizations. Also present were Gan Jinming, President of LZPU; Qu Fan, Vice President; heads of relevant departments and secondary schools; as well as representatives of teachers and students. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Qu Fan.
Gan Jinming delivered a speech, highlighting that LZPU, as an engineering-focused undergraduate vocational university, is committed to supporting the strategies of building China into a leading country in education and transforming Guangxi into an industrial powerhouse. By focusing on pivotal industries such as automotive and machinery, as well as emerging sectors like AI and the low-altitude economy in Guangxi and Liuzhou City, LZPU has developed prominent programs in equipment intelligence technology and industrial internet technology. Additionally, the university has established a "4+4+1" advantageous major group characterized by new engineering disciplines, developing a distinctive education philosophy of "training master craftsmen with industrial background". The establishment of the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry at LZPU aims to capitalize on policy benefits, embrace innovation, and create a new paradigm for vocational colleges to engage with strategic emerging industries. LZPU will actively promote the development of "four centers and one platform": a talent training center, a UAV application technology research center, a flight technology training and certification center, an international cooperation center, and a public service platform. It will vigorously advance efforts in talent training, scientific research, technological innovation, and social services while actively exploring a "UAV technology + scenario application" development model, contributing to Liuzhou's goal of establishing a UAV manufacturing demonstration base in Guangxi.
In his speech, Gao Jianmin highlighted that Liuzhou, as an important industrial city in Guangxi, boasts a solid manufacturing foundation and a wealth of low-altitude economic application scenarios. The CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee and the People's Government of Liuzhou City have placed great emphasis on developing the low-altitude economy. They have worked actively to create a low-altitude economic demonstration zone aimed at ASEAN by implementing measures such as policy guidance, industrial clustering, scenario application, and regional cooperation. The establishment of the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry at LZPU integrates resources from the government, educational institutions, and enterprises to create a four-chain integrated ecosystem encompassing the "education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain". This initiative represents a strategic effort by Liuzhou to capitalize on the opportunities presented by the low-altitude economy. Looking ahead, the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry will strengthen multi-party collaboration, adopt innovative talent training models, and contribute to local economic development, thereby injecting strong momentum into Liuzhou's high-quality economic development.
Wen Jian delivered a speech, highlighting that the establishment of the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry at LZPU represents an innovative practice of integrating industry, academia, research, and application. It also marks a significant step and achievement for Liuzhou's vocational education in aligning with national strategies and supporting local economic transformation and upgrading. This initiative is expected to inject new vitality into the development of Liuzhou's low-altitude economy. He expressed his hope that LZPU would actively promote the standardized and scientific development of the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry, fostering in-depth and comprehensive cooperation with enterprises in the low-altitude economy sector. The aim is to achieve new breakthroughs in talent training, scientific and technological innovation, and the transformation and application of research outcomes, ultimately establishing the school as a "cradle" for cultivating high-quality technical and skilled professionals in Liuzhou's low-altitude economy and as an "engine" for driving industrial innovation.
Chen Yonglin and Cheng Yanyuan delivered speeches as enterprises representatives, highlighting the significant gap between the current talent supply and the market demand in the low-altitude economy sector. They noted that the establishment of the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry is expected to provide valuable talent resources and technical support for enterprises. In turn, the enterprises will give full play to their respective market advantages and industrial resources to further advance school-enterprise cooperation, thereby providing robust support for the development of the school.
During the signing ceremony, LZPU entered into agreements with Shenzhen Pengxiang Yunfei Intelligent Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. and Liuzhou Bureau of CSG EHV Power Transmission Company to collaboratively develop the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry.
In the presence of all the guests, Gan Jinming and the enterprise representatives unveiled the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry, marking the commencement of a new journey in the integration of industry and education.
Following the ceremony, participants toured the exhibition hall of the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry to explore cutting-edge technologies and innovative achievements in the low-altitude economy sector. The event culminated in the first meeting of the Council of the School of Low-altitude Economy Industry. During the meeting, the Charter of the Council was reviewed and approved, and the Chairman and Vice-Chairman units were officially designated.
The School of Low-altitude Economy Industry is led by LZPU in collaboration with Shenzhen Pengxiang Yunfei Intelligent Aviation Technology Co., Ltd., Liuzhou Bureau of CSG EHV Power Transmission Company, Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Phoenix Wings (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., and other partners. The school will pursue a development strategy centered on "four centers and one platform": a talent training center, an application technology research center, a training and certification center, an international cooperation center, and a public service platform. Its aim is to cultivate high-quality, application-oriented professionals tailored to the development needs of the low-altitude economy sector, achieve impactful scientific research outcomes, and establish a benchmark for industry-education integration in the regional low-altitude economy sector.
