From News Center (Text by Zuo Yingzi, International Exchange Department; Photos by Zhang Jinyezi, International Exchange Department) On April 21, 2025, an online meeting commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of international friendly cities between Liuzhou and Bandung was held. As a representative in the field of vocational education, LZPU was invited to attend the meeting. Together with representatives from all walks of life in the two cities, we reviewed the history of friendship and looked forward to the prospects for cooperation, focusing on the fruitful results and future plans of vocational education cooperation. The presidents of Politeknik Manufaktur Bandung (POLMAN Bandung) and Politeknik Negeri Bandung (POLBAN) were also invited to attend the event to share their cooperation experience.

Vice President Ju Hongxia gave a keynote report at the meeting to share cooperation experience. She said that with the support of relevant Indonesian departments, LZPU has joined hands with Chinese companies and cooperated with Indonesian colleges to establish the China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance and launched the "1+10+100+1,000" China-Indonesia TVET cooperation program to help cultivate talents in Indonesia. In the future, LZPU will cooperate with companies such as Wuling and LiuGong to support Bandung colleges in establishing training centers and R&D centers, promote vocational education cooperation, and contribute to the friendly relations between the two cities and the industrial development of the two countries.

It is understood that since the establishment of a cooperative relationship with POLMAN Bandung in 2022, the two schools have carried out in-depth and extensive cooperation in many aspects such as talent training, curriculum construction and teacher training, and have achieved a series of remarkable results. In 2023, Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of LZPU, visited POLMAN Bandung in Indonesia, where both parties jointly launched the "1+1+1" cooperative school-running model. This initiative created valuable opportunities for Indonesian students to study and intern in China, successfully nurturing a significant number of high-quality technical talents tailored to meet the needs of the international market. This year, POLBAN also joined the project to jointly train skilled talents for Indonesia's industrial development. In the future, we will continue to deepen the "1+1+1" project and further expand the scope of cooperation, especially in joint education in emerging professional fields such as new energy vehicle technology and intelligent manufacturing, to cultivate more urgently needed high-end technical talents for Indonesia.

Galuh Bayanaka (Wang Longwei), a representative of LZPU's international students, also expressed his gratitude for the cooperation project between the two schools in his speech. He is from the POLMAN Bandung in Indonesia. He studied at LZPU through the "1+1+1" project and later interned and worked in a Chinese company. The project not only gave him advanced technical knowledge, but also provided him with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and greatly broadened his international perspective.

At the online meeting, the Liuzhou-Bandung Friendship City Exchange Year activities were also announced. Under the framework of the Friendship City Exchange Year, LZPU will give full play to its advantages in vocational education, carry out broader and deeper cooperation with colleges and enterprises in Bandung, jointly explore new models of industry-education integration, promote the deep integration of vocational education and industrial development, inject new impetus into the economic development of the two cities, and create a model of "China-Indonesia" industrial city cooperation.
